Just got home from dinner and movie with Brenda and the twins; had Mediterranean at Esmirada over at Orchard Hotel followed by the show, firewall starring Harrison Ford and Bill Cox. Don’t really want to sound like a cynic but yeah the show is kinda a bit too unbelievable to have Jack (Ford), the bank’s computer security specialist overcoming the whole bunch of bad guys himself single-handedly. Kinda like letting Ford relive his Indiana Jones days allover again. Get a better review at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0408345/
The pasta at Esmirada was really good though and the ambience was a big plus point. Definitely a place to visit again.
was calling Jiebin just now to confirm dinner plans tomorrow but as it was pretty noisy at Cineleisure I went to the staircase landing to make the call, only for the reception to be really bad. was pretty funny subsequently to find the door closed and I having to make my way down and out of the building before going up to the third floor to join the trio.
Have really been bumming the past few days, indulging myself in the time that I was so badly deprived from exam preparations the past couple of weeks.
Friday – yesterday
Was out with Will (he’s flying back to the states in early May so I though yeah, I should perhaps hang out with him abit and he’s been quite a nice friend). Would have just settled for Wala Wala over at Holland Village had the queue not been ridiculously long and instead after an hour and half of waiting we found ourselves cabbing down to Attica. Quite an interesting night as Will was trying to pick up this Malaysian girl over at Attica which he succeeded. Turned out she’s working at QB (some express haircut saloon) and he will be visiting her to have his hair cut tomorrow.
Thursday
Finally met up with Jason to clear up the differences and yeah at least the unhappiness is now behind. Glad for him that he got into corporate finance too (accepted CIMB) but yeah the starting base pay for him suck too but still higher than mine. Why had I not gotten Macquarie. Damned. I hope Ivory calls me. *Fingers crossed*
