Two weeks has passed since the start of the new semester, and everything has sure been a roller coaster ride and I hardly can find time in between to take a break.
Everything has been so packed… from academia stuff to the extra curriculum activities in wakeboarding and helping out at the community centre to the business plan competition…and I just got my hall keys last Friday meaning I will soon have to start shifting my barang barangs into hall soon.
School work has been manageable so far with the exception of BF212, Mathematical methods for finance although I am still quite behind for most of my other tutorials for the other modules… I have yet to even start on my tutorial for accounting now that the second week has passed me by.
I am really a bit worried that BF212 will be another module like AB103 Statistics which totally killed me…
Haha… and would you believe my class for BF218, International Financial Management totally resembles that of an engineering class… what with 2 girls and 17 guys in the first tutorial and the tutor Joseph Kang wasn’t exactly very nice [He appeared to be quite a bias person] which could have explained why 7 people decide to vacate that tutorial slot for another class.
For wakeboarding, we had our CCA recruitment booth last Thursday and Friday at the Nanyang auditorium along with the other student clubs in NTU.
We also conducted our interviews to select the potential candidates for the committee on Tuesday and Wednesday for our welcome tea chalet on Friday, but it was more like just a late night gathering with no one staying in the end… a total waste of money in my opinion.
At the end of the chalet we managed to confirm 6 candidates we want for the various positions on the committee, and will be meeting the rest the coming week again to finalise who we want for the final six positions.
Last night, I went down to Newsroom Bar for the NBS Pageant Bash and boy… the music totally sucked… the Deejay seemed to have a problem stringing up decent songs until much later in the night but by then we were totally bored.
I went with Hanwei, Iris and her pretty friend Xiao Feng [both who were from my last semester’s Financial Management class], their friend Leonard and we left the place for home at about 2 when we finalyy decided that enough was enough.
Looking ahead… today I will be heading down to town for my business plan competiton discussion in a couple’s of hours time before returning to CCK for some dinner at 6.30 over at the community centre for people in the YEC…
