I am freezing my butt off here in florence man....

so damn cold... and boring... and i tot the parisian cold was behind me... so wrong

stuck in this campsite thats like an hour away from the city center but thank godness there's not much i wld like to see here... lucky thing is thye organise trips to sienna and st germingo and one for outlet shopping at the discount stores of the guccis and armanis this coming thurs

the churches and museums are in my humble opinion not much to shout about having seen so many more impressive ones. the paintings and sculptures at the uffazi was nice though.. notable ones include the sculpture of david and carmela

9 more days to go....

Just ran.... my first run in close to 2 weeks i think... talk about keeping in shape in Milan. hahaha nope, Milan aint cold. It's like Singapore... Love it after being in the cold for so long...

my coup so far in Europe goes like this... 4 shirts (1 polo ralph, 2 zaras and one spanish brand that i can't even remeber), 1 springfield jacket and tee and belt, and 2 andrew's ties and i bet they cost so much lesser than i would have paid for them in Singapore; be it the Great Singapore sale or not. The ties only cost me about $20 a piece for something Zehan was saying about 70-80 a piece in Singapore and the jacket? $80. definitely a steal.

Me and the weather
something's just wrong about the weather and my body system here though-my eyes just turns bright red everytime i don my contacts and yeah, heck (that's the reason i am back early from the city centre today but than really, there ain't much to see in Milan). No more contacts for the time being and pimples seems to be breaking out despite me having the most sleep probably in months... must be the pollutants in the air man.... talk about industrial cities

will be heading to venice tomorrow and yea sure looking forward to the bridges, the canals and blah blah.. so much for museums and churches.. though i am rather looking forward to seeing the one at vatican city.

Food
The best food i have had so far still had to be the meal in Paris though that was probably the most expensive by far. Had foie gae yesterday and yea wasn't bad but the one they served in Au Jardin in Singapore was definitely richer in taste.

The three of us, Zehan, Felix (his sis's bf and myself) was confronted by such a big plate of sausages that there was no way we could finish it and that was just starters. I had a big portion of their beef but the taste wasn't exactly much to howl about just the portion i guess.

will post the pics when i get access to a comp with usb ports... stay tuned..

Completed my mini Da Vinci code tour today and man... the Lourve was sinply huge... (below are some pictures of the Lourve) and heading out to Nice and Monaco tomorrow

See the glass pyramid below?

The Arc below

Headed to see the Eiffel Tower while Zehan went off to Notre Dame (I covered that yesterday) and caught three rainbows while up there (a pretty pretty sight)

The Eiffel Tower

Can u see the rainbow?

The other two rainbows

Didn't had the chance to try any esgarcot here but the foodie wasn't bad. The macroons from Ladouree was good and so was the meal last night (no foie graz but there was a proxy for it -chicken liver ;P) . Like the way the steak was prepared and the sorbee was heavenly....

The Ladouree... the queue sure wasn't short. The macaroons? Heavenly

The meal last night

The chef and the server

Others... went to Champs Elysees and here are some pictures from the show rooms of Renault and Toyota

Went on the Picasso walking tour this morning and cleared the Barri Gothic area today and some of the architecture are just simply amazing but i think sagrada familia still comes out tops on my most amazing place to see in Barcelona.

Bought another shirt and a belt today from zara and springfield. man... i love barcelona. if there´s only more time here to just explore all the various streets and shops. too bad zehan isn´t much of a shopper. prefers to put his money where is though i dun really think what he´s eating is all that special.

more updates to come from paris, italy, the vatican city (its a state on its own) and london

3rd day in Barcelona and we went for the bus tour which i seriously dun think was that worth it... you fall asleep cos u cant make out what they were saying man... but yeah it´s a good way to get to have a glimpse of everything.

hmm the trip is going well i suppose but guess thereçs just somethings that zehan and I don´t really agree on like the things we enjoy doing but i guess it works out fine that we take time off to do our own things. Hmm for me, shopping is definitely one of the big must haves especially when you are in some of the most fashionable cities but then again, to each his own. Only my fourth day and I have like gotten myself 2 new shirts, a jacket and a tee. besides surveniors for friends and family. Gosh, I cant wait for Tuscany and Paris.

Postcards and stamps can sure work out to be quite a tidy sum and it aint that easy to locate a place to post ur letters here in Barcelona. They don´t even sell stamps at most places. Damned.

Pictures of the european tale coming sooon.... stay in tuned....

2nd day of Barcelona expedition and it sure was full of ups and down

Ups - I got two shirts; one cufflink and one from polo from La Roca Village (the factory outlets on the outskirts of Barcelona), getting to soak up the atmosphere of the catalan crowd over at La Rambla as Barcelona was playing Arsenal and seeing the magnificent Sagrada Famalia. That piece of work by Gaudi really makes up feel tiny looking up at it.

Downs - Missing the last bus back to the hostel because the roads were blocked off my the police for crowd control (hmm luckily that cost me 10 euros, think will just have to cut down on food a bit)

The Catalan crowd was sure a crazy bunch. Everywhere along La Rambla, you would out of a suddenly get an explosion set off by those crazy youth and people jumping up and down cheering their home team on.

Tomorrow would have to relocate to yet another hostel and to visit the cluster of tourist attractions and Camp Nuo should time permits.

Taken at Talfagar Square, London

Picture taken with Ann and Denise in Harrods, London

The play by Theatre Royal - The producers

Picture taken at Placa Catalonynia

Street artists plying their trade in La Ramblas

The Catalonian crowd: Man, the atmosphere was intense i tell u... every few minutes you would have horns blaring or loud explosive sounds going off.

2nd day of a european tale; sitting in the internet room of a barcelonean hostel

Arrived at Heathrow aiport at approx 5 in the morning yesterday and it wasn´t until 2 this morning that I hit the pillows.

Visited West Minister, Big Ben, Trafalgur Square, Soho Street, met Denise and Ann Marie for lunch, witnessed a deomstration (what against? I got absolutely no idea. will post some pics of it later) and even managed to find time to squeeze in a play (The Producers) at the Theatre Royal over at Drury Lane.

Wwas supposed to meet Denise and Ann for drinks but we ended up for a short chat over at Ann´s friend´s place and that ended with me missing out on the last train back to Bayswater and I had to make my way back with a spanish lad who was in the same plight as me (Zehan was comforatbly back in the hostel by then) and along the way a limousine pulled up, and there was this black guy (with some girls) who called out to us to join in the limo.

Today we arrived in barcelona at 5.30 and it was past 8 when we eventually made our way to the hostel. It is super secluded and the map certainly did not help us much at all but man, the place is cool and the facilities here are 10x (make that 100x) better than Hyde Park yesterday...

Stay tuned for the pictures... and more updates

Some of the pictures over the past few days with my new camera phone. quite sharp pictures for a cam phone i must say.

Wenting's sending off. Lucky it didn't cost me to fail my CFMAS test (grammar intended - it cost over a hunderd buckeroos per time)

Smiley Group members, Rongming and Cheewee. Talk the hand, he says.

Japanese restaurant like I mentioned; Nice food served.

Throw in a bunch of hunks and babes. What else do you need at a dinner? Muahaha

Stay tuned. Updates from Europe coming up

hmm.. correction... seems like got people misread what i was saying in the previous blog.

anyway haha that couple from my advanced corp class this sem can't be refering to myself lah or my friend.. to be more explicit before anything goes more out of line, I shall name the lady character the qian nu otherwise the one whom looks manly, Ir*s and her friend. Kudos to the one who thought it up (common, dun tell me you can't guess the name)

caught up wit smiley groupie yesterday, and watched Mission Impossible 3 with the guys. Great action, loose storyline. prob the reason they call it Mission Impossible 3; even the story line is incrediously impossible. Rabbit foot? My foot.

also caught up with wakeboarding bunch for dinner after that. nice japanese restaurant at marina, Waraku i think it was called. will post the pics shortly

Haha… so funny to have made it past the previous HSBC Hongkong telephone interview with the advanced financial test scheduled on Thursday. Why So? When the interview was conducted in mandarin and 30% of my replies were in English, that’s why.

But, the chances of me getting to an eventual offer is so slim that perhaps it is next to zilch as I will be Europe bound come this Sunday and it is unlikely I will get to be involved with the subsequent stages based in Hong Kong unless like Joanne (From HSBC HK) had said, that I can do a videoconference interview with HSBC London. How cool is that? But then, realistically no – I don’t really see how the case presentation can be done over the phone. Haha and getting this far has been a pleasant surprise considering how badly I though I had fared for the prior telly interview.

This few days has been pretty slow though yesterday I witnessed a burst water pipe with water spurting out on my way to the pool and as a bunch of teens fighting outside westmall after my swim. Gosh, one of them even had a bloody head.

Wenting is flying off today, Hanwei on Thursday, Myself on Sunday and soon after, Smiley group…

Count down to Europe: 5 days
