Was just looking at the entrepreneurship in minor video clips i got from Kunming last night on the sentosa outing and the obs camp that we had.
One year has since flown by since the end of the minor and looking at the clips really brought back some fond memories... and darn it! One yr has passed me by just like that. In another yr or so, I will be out of school into the workforce, that is if I find any work of sorts.
Some of the guys from the entrepreneurship minor met up last wednesday and it sure is regrettable that I was not able to be down as I was having Salsa lessons at SMU. Wonder when there will be another gathering of sorts where we can all sit down and chill and just talk cock.
Was in school last night with Kunming and Peiru for the Sife project, and looking at the both of them; both of whom has achieved so much and will soon be heading for china for their respective industrial attachments I just can't help but feel a bit of envious but yet glad that I have the opportunity to work with them. I must really enjoy what ever is left of school life.

Suffering a mid-week crisis....
Now that sore throat is more less gone, i have found myself striken by a maddening cough and a flu that so threatens my plans for the week [not that I have got a whole list planned out that is..]Paiseh if you had come across me today appearing in a less than plesant mood...
Three more weeks or so of national service to go before I start clearing leave~~ I just can't wait!! Need to really sort out my schedules in july to plan for the Hk trip if its still feasible. [Darned! I didn't realise till last week that the convocation ball was so close to the union freshman camp... #$%@]

received a posting in response to one of my earlier postings (hmm.. that posting was like a yr back).. Well anyway that posting was strewn with obscenities about a friend of mine and was posted under her name. What a jerk to do just that.
Anyway... a pleasant day shall not be spoilt by some idiot like that.
Went for a swim just now to catch some sun. I really think I am going to end up like a bai zhan ji (white chicken) if i don't start getting out in the sun. So much for going back to serve army. Think the only thing i am gaining so far is the extra kilos from all the inactivity and meals in camp...
Voice still hoarse and as bad as last night and i will probably give later's outing to celebrate Rongming's birthday a miss or will perhaps join up with them after dinner.
Just completed the download of two albums, def leppard (i really was big on them at one point of time; that one handed drummer rocks) and lee hom's album. hail bitcomet~~ or i will just die trying to download anythingy off Kazaa lite..

It's official! My voice is gone~~!!! Arghh... and it had to happen during this long break.
Went Salsa just now with Ken, Hana, Annabelle and Peiling and picked up some new moves from this guy, another Ken who was there by himself. It was definielty more enjoyable than last week. Perhaps it has something to do with the larger crowd of us today such that we were able to practice among ourselves the steps that Jerry has taught us.
Also had the dicussion for the Sife Patent commercializaion competition with Kunming and Peiru today, and I was really surprised that it lasted like 7 hours? But then again much time was wasted on idle chat, an activity i seem to enjoy doing. : P
Think I just might have to give tomorrow's outing with Hanwei, Cheewee and company a miss and let my throat rest or I wont know when 'my throat will start functioning normally again...
Arghh.. I wanna my throat get better fast!!!!

Arghh.... my throat is really killing me....
Really think I am gonna loose my voice sia... Anyway it's already the end of the week and I just missed my unit outing at Merchant Court Swissotel for Salsa Practice.... But heck lah, eating all those food such as the famous durian paste there will probably kill my voice in no time.
Salsa is really engaging but sometimes I just can't catch the footworks of Jerry (he is the instructor for the class). Think I am just not cut out for the performing arts... like William Hung, I can't Sing, I can't Dance... but unlike him I do know it. haha
Think I shall go hit the pillows liao...

Brain is really not functioning after the consecutive nights of supper, hanging out and mah jong yesterday…. In fact I think I barely caught 10 hours of sleep for the past 3 or 4 nights.
I have also began taking free Salsa lessons at the Singapore Management University by chance because of my friend Meibin who happens to sit on the commencement committee of SMU, and it so turned out that they were looking for guys to partner their girls for their commencement performance.
It’s been a week plus since the Taiwan trip and life has pretty much returned to the way they were before the trip… and I am still sleeping as little if not lesser…
Saw Jie Bing twice over the weekend; first when I was with Ken at the Bugis market on Saturday and the next day again when I was at the Zouk flea market with Denise and Ann. It really led me to question if there’s such a thing as
fate or
yuan fen taking into consideration of the incidence of times I have bumped into her since leaving junior college.

Mission Taiwan accomplished!Four days have since passed since I embarked on my trip to Taipei on Thursday morning and it is really a pity that I hadn’t extended my trip by another couple of days. There really is so much to see and shop in Taiwan and the weather sure is nice. Although temperature can go up to 30 + degree Celsius, humidity is so much lower so you don’t find yourself wet with perspiration and the first rays of the morning sun actually appears around 5 in the morning.
It is amazing how orderly the people in Taiwan are. People really kept to the left when taking the escalator and really did their part in helping to recycle thrash. There were some people who actually washed their plastic bottles before taking them to be recycled. It sure is a pity that the keep right on escalator movement at MRT stations did not really take off and I guess you would most probably find people throwing trash in the recycling bins here in Singapore.
In this short trip, we managed to visit some of the more interesting places in Taipei such as Dan Shui, Shi Lin, Bei Tou, and Wan Hua as listed in brief below.
Thursday: 5th May 05Met up with the rest of the gang and had lunch. We landed at the Taipei Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport and met up with Lee Teng before proceeding to our hotel, Royal Castle at Cheng Du Road which is 10 minutes walk from Xi Men Ding
We had our dinner at Xi men ding after settling our luggage and went on to take a walk at Shi Lin. It was there I had my first taste of Chou Dou fu and it definitely is going to be the last time I tasted it. 3 hours is definitely not enough to cover the entire night market and there is still so much to be seen…
From Xi Men Ding, we went to the Chiang Kai-Shek memorial hall over at Zhong Zheng which is also the political center of Taipei City. It sure is a magnificent building illuminated by the red lights in the Taipei night. The streets however were empty with barely any traffic in the Taipei night.
We then went to Party World KTV near our hotel and sang till the morning… and when we stumbled out of the KTV at five in the morning, we were greeted by the soft rays of the sun. it was actually daylight at five!!!
Friday: 6th May 9, 2005After waking up around noon we went to Zhong Xiao East Road and had Ma La Huo Guo for late lunch. It sure took us a good hour or so to locate the store that was recommended in Meilin’s guidebook. Along the way we also visited Jay Chou’s antique store OMNI.
We went to the Taipei 101 Mall and it was there I picked up a recipe book at Page 1, a bookstore very similar to Kinokunia for my mom for mother’s day. We didn’t go up to the viewing point of the mall because of the 15 dollars that we had to pay.
That night, we went to Wu Fen Pu which is some sort of a giant wholesale clothing market located in Taipei. Though there were many outlets (it is definitely an understatement), I still think the clothes found in Shi Lin were nicer and ended up just getting an Abercrombie and Fitch top and flip-flop.
We went to the 24 hour bookstore, Eslite after our shopping trip after which the girls went back to the hotel. The guys and I went back to Xi Men Ding for a walk to check out what there was to offer. We ended up exploring the cyber café that was recommended in Meilin’s guide book as well as a few of the dingy Movie centers.
Saturday: 7th May, 2005We went to Bei Tou which is located in the northwestern part of Taipei, a place famous for its sulfur springs and spas.
When they say hot spring, they really mean that the water is hot! We barely lasted fifteen minutes in the 42 degree Celsius water.
After the soak, we went to Dan Shui where Yu Ren Ma Tou is located. It was like childhood revisited where we found ourselves playing games that we once played in our younger days.
That night we visited the Miramar Ferris wheel, the second largest in the world. At 110m at its highest point and 70m in diameter, the wheel takes about 17 minutes to do a single circuit and we had to wait something like an hour for our turn.
We also went to the Taipei Ministry of Sound (MOS) which was located right next to the Miramar Shopping Complex. It is some what similar to Singapore’s Zouk on a Friday or Saturday night but much grander and posh. The crowd however was a bit the let down and the Deejay sure could have been better.
That night, we gave Lee Teng an early birthday celebration at the hotel since he will be away in America for the next 2 months for his work and travel trip. Lucky bugger... : P
It will definitely be a night he will remember for sometime with all the medicated oil, Tabasco sauce, soft drink and Colgate we poured on him.
Sunday: 08th May, 2005We went to Xi Men Ding for some last minute shopping after taking into consideration of the time constraint (we had to catch the 6pm flight). It was the first time that we had really explored Xi Men Ding and there really was too much for us to see in one afternoon… we left our hotel at about 3.45pm and made it to the airport around 4.30.
We did some real last minute shopping of surveniors at the airport gift shop and the sales assistants must really have thought of us as mad buying as many as 10 boxes of biscuits at one go. We really found ourselves running like mad to catch the plane (The flight was scheduled to be at 5.55 and it was like 5.50 when we finally checked in).

2 weeks of my military service has since passed and I must say that it is much better than I would have imagined it to be…
Senhao dropped by in town on Thursday and boy, he sure is doing well. The past three days sure was mad and eventful with all the clubbing and supper. I reckon that I must have at least put on another few kilos from all that late night suppers. It sure has been quite sometime since I last clubbed before Thursday.
Thursday was spent in some in some KTV club at Changi while Friday and Saturday was spent at China Black and Zouk respectively. Zouk was disappointingly empty for a Saturday night but there sure were some hot babes around. Came to met this Norwegian exchange student of Chinese descent and her pretty friend and it turned out that both were from Nanyang Business School as well~! There was also this other babe of mixed Japanese and Thai parentage but then I couldn’t make out 80% of what she’s saying most of the time. Boy… I sure hope to catch that NBS girl around…
Lastly, the Taiwan trip is finally in sight with 4 days to go~ !!!
